Never, never, never give up.

Until the moment Ben took his last breath, in my heart
I believed he had a chance to beat this thing called osteosarcoma.
It had metastasized.
To his lungs.
I knew it was a small chance.
The doctor had said, “There are no other treatments to give.”
With each week, day, hour, minute, moment that chance approached infinitesimal odds.
Until his last breath he was with us.
A few seconds more.
Each moment becoming more and more precious.
We were fortunate.
His passing was peaceful.
He was on this Earth 9 years, 82 days, 16 hours, and 54 minutes.

Death comes in many ways.

Each day, each moment is precious.

Never, never, never give up.

Do not fall into the abyss that is hopelessness.

When cancer takes a life, especially a young one.
There are no lost battles.

Cancer did not defeat him in any way whatsoever.

He never gave up.
